(March 7, 2004)  The Sun-Times today begins endorsements of candidates in contested primary races for the General Assembly.

FOR ILLINOIS HOUSE

54th: GOP incumbent Suzanne "Suzi" Bassi, a former Palatine school board member with a special interest in transportation issues, does a solid job. She is strongly endorsed over Palatine councilman Warren Kostka, whose views include opposing legislation to prevent workplace discrimination against gays, and businesswoman Patricia "Pat" Sutarik.
