Bassi to Host Identity Theft Seminar
Hoffman Estates (March 23, 2005) – State Representative Suzanne “Suzie” Bassi (R-Palatine) will host an “Identity Theft Response & Prevention” Seminar on April 21st from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Hoffman Estates Community Bank, located at 1375 Palatine Road in Hoffman Estates.
Attendees will learn ways to prevent identity theft, along with procedures to take if identity theft occurs.
“I strongly encourage everyone to attend this important seminar, as identity theft is the number one growing crime in the United States,” Bassi said. “The information provided will be extremely beneficial, and we would appreciate your perspective and input on this increasing problem.”
The seminar will be co-sponsored by the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce. Officer James McNamee from the Barrington Police Department Crime Prevention & Community Relations Office, Maureen O'Brien from the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, and Eric Falsetto from Attorney General Lisa Madigan's office will speak at the seminar.
