Lawmakers to Host Local Business Briefing
Hoffman Estates, IL. (May 22, 2006) -- State Representatives Suzie Bassi (R-Palatine) and Terry Parke (R-Hoffman Estates) will be hosting a business briefing to update local business owners and leaders on new legislation as well as on local tourism projects in the Greater Woodfield area.
The briefing will be held Tuesday, June 20 at 8:00 a.m. at the Hoffman Estates Village Hall, 1900 Hassel Road, Hoffman Estates, and will include updates on construction of the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates and the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg.
“During the briefing, we will provide updates on several important tourism projects that are currently in progress in our area,” said Bassi. “The addition of the Sears Centre and the new convention center in Schaumburg will have a huge impact on business and tourism in the Greater Woodfield area. I encourage every business owner and leader to attend this briefing to learn about what’s happening in our business community.”
“In addition to this update, there were several bills passed by the General Assembly this session that may affect businesses in our communities,” said Parke. “This business briefing will provide the opportunity to update members of the local business community on that legislation and to encourage discussion about its impact.”
To attend the briefing, reservations must be made by calling Rep. Bassi’s office at (847) 776-1880 or Rep. Parke’s office at (847) 882-0270 before June 16th.
